May the Fourth Be With You

Hello my dear! How are you doing? How was your week? I’m interested to hear how you spent your time and if there have been any updates from the mission leaders about the new guidelines. You have been in my prayers! I’m also excited to hear about transfer news!  We are heading into the busiest time of the year with spring sports and birthdays. This is what we've been up to: Ethan did some kind of a social media ice bucket challenge on Sunday. Not sure why. Kids are weird. Natalie left for the MTC on Wednesday! Ethan got to go bowling at Boondocks and Jett got to go check out the new Bees stadium for field trips this week. Boondocks has been closed all summer for remodel and just reopened. Dad took Jett and Tate over to the batting cages and he said the place was spruced up. And they added a ropes course which sounds cool. They built a new Bees stadium out in Daybreak in South Jordan. Dad has tickets for us to go to a game in a couple of weeks, so it will be fun to go see the ne...

Farewell

Hi Ty! I’m looking forward to talking to you and hearing all about your week and the people you are teaching. Hoping your week was filled with sunny skies and golden contacts! We have had a busy week. Spring always feels kind of crazy around here. This is what we’ve been doing.  Tate’s teacher asked me if I could come to the zoo with the class on Tuesday, and I said, Yes of course! We were lucky to go on a day when they had sculptures out all over the zoo. I guess they light up the sculptures at night and now I kinda want to go back and see it all lit up. The kids were super fun, and the polar bear was amazing.  By a complete stroke of luck, I also was scheduled to clean the Bountiful temple from 9 pm to midnight. That’s a pretty cool thing to do. I vacuumed the whole time and it was very enjoyable. What was NOT enjoyable was. . . Getting up at 6:30 am the next to take the young women to the temple for baptisms. Sheesh. Who is in charge of my calendar anyway?! Michael finished...

Easter

Hey there—it was great to talk to you yesterday! I’m sorry I didn’t finish up my letter and get it sent off last night. There are always so many interruptions! We had a really nice Easter dinner at Grandma Rawson’s house, but we got home late and it was a long weekend! I am so glad to see you are enjoying being in Singapore and that there are so many people for you to talk to and contact. I hope things continue to go well with your new friend as he works toward his baptismal date. You have me intrigued about Mala, and I hope someday I’ll be able to try some! This is what we’ve been up to this week: Happy Easter! We are celebrating today with an Easter lesson, Easter baskets, and an egg hunt in the backyard. I will eat my Cadbury eggs and hope you are also enjoying the same deliciousness. The boys are currently looking for their baskets and Dad is absolutely delighting in the fact that none of them will ever be found without clues.  We had a busy sports week with Jett and Tate’s (fr...
