Hello Ty! It was great to talk to you last night! I loved hearing about your zone conference trip to Singapore, and your culinary adventures. Hopefully you have recovered from your juice coma by now. It sounds like you had an exciting week. I’m so glad you had a good time at zone conference and were able to take the time to be taught and inspired. The traveling sound amazing even if you only get a small glimpse of the mall in Singapore. I love hearing all of the interesting cultural details like the “long house” and there “makan habis.” Isn’t it so interesting to learn about how other people live? So cool that you have a friend to teach and that you had such a good experience with his first time in the Chinese branch. Good turnout at church is a good feeling! Hey there— It was so good to talk to you again on Sunday, and I was able to read both of your last two emails. It’s been so fun to hear about your area, and the culture there, and I love all the food pictures! Half of the food doesn’t look recognizable to me. But I’m glad it tastes good, and hope you can figure out how to get enough to eat so you’re not too hungry. And man, you weren’t joking about the ants! I loved hearing about your travel experience, and I think it’s so cool that you get to have this adventure.   You sounded a bit discouraged when you called. I’m sorry you have to spend so much time doing administrative things, and that people are not very receptive. Missionary work must be so challenging. I think you are just brand new to the area, and as time goes on you will learn to not only understand the languages better, but I think you will learn to understand the people and their perspectives better. Hey there— I’ve been thinking about you all week. I’m hoping you have enjoyed your last week in the MTC and have soaked up every last bit of edification and inspiration from your devotionals and musical numbers. What a life-changing opportunity this has been for you! Never again in your life will you have the time and ability to devote all your energies to gospel study and service. So make the most of it! I know you have. I’m so proud of you and the effort you have put in to becoming a strong missionary, and I know you will make a difference in those you teach, serve with, and in your own life.
