What day is it anyway?

Hi Ty! We are looking forward to talking to you tonight. I hope you had a great week.

We had a fun-filled week, and I’m completely exhausted! This is what we've been up to:
  1. On Monday we had a fun day in San Francisco. We got up early and dropped off Blake and Michael at the Johnson O’Connor testing center and then the rest of us took a boat tour over to Alcatraz to see the old prison. It was creepy and entertaining. Later we stopped for sourdough bread bowls and clam chowder before heading to the game. Dad ended up only getting two tickets to the suite, so he and Michael went and enjoyed the food and cush seats. The rest of us enjoyed the game outdoors and had a really good time. Tate and Ethan were cheering for the Lions while Blake and Jett cheered for the 49ers. We were quite the spectacle! The Lions won. We stopped for Cold Stone (and chicken in Blake’s case) on our way home and everyone ended the night happy.
  2. Tuesday we hit the road bright and early. We made good time and pulled into our driveway around 9pm—and we were greeted by a houseful of visiting family! The perfect crowd to ring in the New Year with.
  3. Natalie opened her mission call Tuesday evening while we were still on the road, but we watched on Facebook live. She got called to Nashville, Tennessee which is perfect for her. She has wanted to visit Nashville for awhile. She said she really wanted to go on a foreign mission, but if she had to go stateside, Nashville was the only place she wanted to be.
  4. One more exciting thing about Tuesday —Tate lost his first tooth!
  5. The rest of the week was just a blur—lots of food, games, puzzles, and dishes. Seriously, it was impossible to even keep track of what day it was. We went to see Wicked (for the second time) with our cousins. We played scum, bananagrams, and wingspan. Tanner brought a game called Wyrmspan, but I didn’t get to play it. We had our 1st annual puzzle competition. Dana organized it. She bought four copies of the same puzzle and we were divided into teams and had to see who could do the puzzle the fastest. Dana and Tanner completed it in 49 minutes. Grandpa and I came in last at an hour and 49 minutes. Even so, I was really impressed with how fast we did that puzzle!
  6. Dana made a run to Pace’s Dairy Ann to buy us all rainbows.
  7. Dana also organized a trip to the temple to do sealings. We stayed for two sessions so we could get through Dana’s big stack of family games.
  8. Everyone was gone by Saturday morning, and we spent the rest of the day cleaning and recovering. It was our first big snow storm, and the snow blower was not working, so the boys had a good time shoveling.
  9. Today was our first church meeting at 9 am, and I’ve decided 1:30 church is more my speed.
  10. Jett was ordained as a deacon today!

Love you!
Mom
