Ty's food > Blake's food

Hello Elders! It was great to talk to you on Sunday. I’m sorry the conversation as so chaotic. There was a lot of noise happening and I was trying to help Tate with the pumpkin carving. I’ve been enjoying looking at the photos you share on your google drive. Blake, I have to admit that most of the food you have posted looks really terrible. Between the egg with the chicken inside, the fermented fish paste, the tiny octopus, the grasshoppers, and the fried bananas—I’m not sure which of those things would be more revolting. I’m so glad you became a more adventurous eater over the las few years, because otherwise that could be a major trial on your mission! Ty, the food you post looks amazing. 100% I’d rather eat your food! Ty, It sounds like you’ve got some cool travel opportunities. And it also sounds like you are still able to contact and do regular missionary work. I hope this new responsibility as AP is great experience for you. Blake it seems like you are having a lot of teaching op...

The Good Life

Hello my dears! It was so good to talk to you both on Sunday. Honestly it's so strange to have both of you away from home. It’s so quiet here with only three boys, and our large crew that used to take up an entire row at church is now just a handful of us!  Blake, I’m sorry you were sick all week, but glad to see you on the mend.  What a bummer that your p-day Ichiban karaoke day was tainted by the Dengue.  I’m wondering if you just had a very mild case, or if you have an exceptionally high pain tolerance, because bone-breaking fever sounds miserable. I’m really glad you were well enough to participate in the baptisms. What a neat experience.   Hopefully you can start sleeping better once you are back on a regular schedule.  I read an email from Colton this week and he also hears noises at night. He thinks his house is haunted, so I guess it could be worse?   Ty, I’m excited for you to be in Kuala Lumpur! It looks like a really cool city. The Narw...

Fall is my Favorite

Well hello my dears! I hope you both had an excellent week! I’m looking forward to talking to you both tonight. Here’s my update on what we’ve been up to this week--- This week really felt like fall. General Conference. Rain. More Rain. Cooler weather. Changing leaves. Pumpkin bread. Caramel Popcorn. Football. I woke up today to see snow in the mountains! Fall is such a lovely season in Utah.   The neighborhood Pass the Pumpkin game is happening again, and it’s awesome. We’ve had the pumpkin on our porch a few times already. I love seeing all the neighborhood kids out running around and playing together. What a great tradition. Tate is not allowed to cross Shepard Lane without an adult—even to steal the pumpkin. But he came home the other day and said that Jett is 11 and Salesi is 11. 11 + 11  =  Adult, so can he cross the street with them?  Haha. Boy math! I got a lot of calls and notifications from the schools this week. Kids late to school. Bumps and bruises on the playgrou...
