Letters to my Children

Hey Ty! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week! As always, I’ve been thinking of you and look forward to talking soon. We have had such a crazy busy week. We did a lot of fun things, but I’m exhausted and a little bit relieved it’s over! Here’s my travelogue: I took a sourdough bread making class at a neighbor’s house. Apparently making sourdough is complicated. I’ve been feeding my sourdough starter every day, but haven’t had a chance to make bread yet.  Tate had his kindergarten program on Tuesday, and I successfully made it through without crying! Tate’s baseball team did not win very many games this season. But by some miracle they won all three tournament games! So Tate came home with a trophy and a medal and he was stoked! Jett’s baseball teams weren’t so lucky unfortunately!  Ethan also had several games in his basketball tournament. I think he played pretty well. I saw two of his games. Hello my dear! I’ve been thinking about you all week and wishing there was a way for me to wave a magic wand to solve all of the contacting problems for you! I know you are making the best of a difficult situation and I’m proud of you. I hope you are able to find creative ways to accomplish your goals and to keep your spirits high. You are good at motivating others, so if you can keep a positive attitude, that will spread to others around you. I received a kind text from someone who was traveling in Singapore and met you at church. She said you were talking to all the people around you and being a source of light—which is one of your gifts for sure. I hope you had a great week, and I look forward to talking to you soon!
