Oops

Oh man! I wrote you and email last week, but I didn’t send it! 🤦‍♀️ Lame. Here it is:

Thank you for the letter last week. I’m so grateful we get to talk to you each week as well. Your missionary schedule sounds exhausting! But it also sounds like you’ve got some great opportunities to teach. I hope this week is a good one for you!

This is what we’ve been up to:

  1. Spring break is over, and we came home to a busy week full of soccer, baseball, track, and basketball.
  2. Monday night we went to Grandpa Rawson’s house to celebrate his birthday and watch the NCAA championship game. Florida beat Houston 65 to 63. Grandpa won the family bracket, and I took 3rd. Not bad! Grandpa has lived longer than both of his parents, and we are lucky to have him with us.
  3. Wednesday morning I took Grandma Rawson to get a pedicure for her birthday present. I got my toes painted bright orange, and I’m very happy about my choice!
  4. Wednesday night Dad and Blake and Ethan went shotgun shooting for mutual. Apparently Blake is very good!
  5. Michael had a crappy day on Wednesday. Michelle broke up with him. It doesn’t make much sense to me. According to Michael, things have been going really well lately. But she was feeling really anxious about having a long-distance relationship while he goes to Taiwan this summer. She decided it would be easier to break up now rather than continue to grow closer for the next few months. Michael doesn’t agree, but there’s not much he can do about it. And he’s feeling awkward about trying to figure out how to still hang out with his friends while avoiding seeing Michelle. That same day he accidentally scraped another at in the parking lot and is going to have to pay for a costly repair. Bummer.
  6. But, Thursday brought good news for Michael! He received a $1700 scholarship for his Taiwan program. He also received another extension for his Finance class, so I guess he’s going to drag that out another term.
  7. My dad and his siblings have cleaned out Great Grandpa’s house in Provo and listed if for sale. It makes me sad. 💔
  8. My parents brought home a bunch of things from Great Grandpa’s house and my siblings got together Friday night to choose things to take home. I picked out a few things with you in mind. I got some cool bird prints that I put down in your room. And I brought home a bunch of old hats for you boys to choose from. Apparently there is still a lot of stuff (including clothing) in a storage unit to be dealt with later.
  9. Saturday we went to Alice Staples’ baptism. Dana and Tanner’s family came to town to have the baptism in Bountiful so that both families could attend. I got to give the talk on the Homy Ghost! (Writing talks is my favorite thing to do!) it was fun to see everyone and have a nice lunch at Tanner’s parent’s home.
  10. Dad planned a really fun family outing for Saturday night. He bought 8 tickets to the BYU Ballroom Dance Company Concert. We planned to take the boys and Michael & Michelle to dinner and then the concert, but one by one the boys bailed on us. But then Jett got his basketball schedule and had 2 games Saturday night. And Blake SUPER did not want to go. And then Michelle broke up with Mike. And then Mike ditched us to go to St George for the weekend with his buddies. So. We took Dana and Camryn and Alice and Emery and had a great time anyway. Ethan wasn’t happy to find out his brothers had all weaseled out of coming. But he was the lucky one who got to see the fan-freaking-tastic show!
Love you!
Mom
