Summer is Over

Hello my dear! The way you write letters makes it sound like you are absolutely LOVING life as a missionary. I love it.  I hope you had a really great week training your new companion. Hopefully he’s the type who likes to work until he drops! I’m always surprised and delighted by the generosity and kindness people show you—even in small ways like giving you red bean, or letting you use their parking spot. Sounds like you had really interesting and amazing meal with Frank. Again—so kind of him to treat you to dinner.  I’m glad your ward is excited about missionary work and that you are having success. Keep up all the good work! I can’t believe you are nearing your 1-year mark. What a year it has been! I’ve seen a lot of growth in you, and I’m so proud of you. Summer Wind Down

Hey there! I I hope you’ve had a great week. It was good to hear from you as always. Glad to hear you are busy and learning a lot. I hope this transfer goes well and you enjoy training a new missionary! We’ve had a fun couple of weeks around here as summer is winding down.   1. Last week I took Tate and Jett to Fort Collins to visit Alison and Zach’s family. We had such a great time. The little cousins loved running around together, and I think maybe we need to make this annual tradition. Fort Collins is such a cool place. They have so many parks all over the place. We swam at their neighborhood pool, and the next day we went to a city park that the river runs through. The water was low and the kids were able to float in tubes and swim with the fish and throw rocks. Great way to pass the afternoon. Zach said that when the water is higher people can kayak there. On Sunday we took the kids to ride their scooters through the sculpture garden. It was a fun and relaxing trip, and I had ...
