A quiet week

Hey Michael! Thanks for the great letter this week. Glad to hear about both Alex Liu and Caiping. It must be a really satisfying feeling to watch them both grow and change. I had to laugh about the Dragon Boat festival and the EQ activity. The Dragon festival sounded awesome, the EQ activity not so much! Lol. You get put into so many interesting situations! I’m sorry about all of the harassment from crazies, and glad you are able to keep a sense of humor about it.   We had a pretty slow, quiet week around here, which is totally unusual. But you, Ty, and Ethan were gone—and having 3 kids at home is definitely easier than 6! (Ethan had a deacon’s camp to go to, and he said it was one of the best campouts ever! He came home so filthy and reeking with smoke). 1. Dad got an invitation to a soccer event from a client or colleague, so he took Jett along. They got to order customized jerseys. Dad’s said “Rawson.” Jett’s said “Drip Lord.” The employees were all very curious about who ordered th

Hello my dear! I’m sorry I haven’t been a very writer as of late. Its a combination of too much and too little going on all at the same time. It was so nice to talk to you on Sunday! I wish I could have given you my full attention, but I had a houseful of people when you called. We were celebrating Father’s day. I made chicken and flank steak and pineapple on the grill, and it was delicious if I do say so myself! It’s always good to see your smiling face. I’m glad to hear about your friend being baptized and about all of the hard work you are doing. The bishop sent me a copy of the email you send him with advice for younger kids, and I’m going to print it out for Blake and Ty to think about.  Thank you for being such a good example to them! So what’s up here? 1. Most exciting is that Ty left for his humanitarian trip to the Dominican Republic. I think he was a little nervous to go not knowing anyone. Plus he was flying alone—arriving in Miami at midnight and then having to wait until 8

San Diego Trip

Hi Michael! Thanks for the email this week. I enjoyed reading about what you are doing on your mission.  I’m so grateful you are having a good experience and growing a lot. We we’re happy to talk to you on Monday. Wish you could have been with us on our trip. It’s not the same without you, and Ty especially is missing having someone his age to hang out with.   This is what we’ve been up to: 1. Ethan got his math results back and tested in the 99th percentile, so he definitely qualifies for the advanced math class.   2. Tate has his last day of preschool program. He’s going to be so sad next year when he realizes he’s not going back to Miss Lori’s class.   3. Ty invited a bunch of friends over for breakfast for his birthday (Blake didn’t want to 🤷‍♀️) and the kids stayed all day playing basketball and video games. I had to kick them all out around dinner time, because it was actually Blake’s birthday and we were getting ready to do dinner and presents. He wasn’t totally stoked about hi
